I don't think you are going to get 12V to push 50 amps. The circuit would have to have a max resistance of .24 ohms and that would have to be done with a variable ohm resistor (a rehostat for a throttle). You are going to need a lot more voltage.

Can someone please find me a circuit diagram for a 50 amp 12 volt variable speed controller?
I am building an electric trike thing and I need a throttle to regulate the current (which will be quite allot!) to the motor.Can someone please find me a circuit diagram for a 50 amp 12 volt variable speed controller?
