Use an Xbox 360 controller with a laptop through the USB Charger?

I want to play games on my laptop using my xbox controller. I plugged it in and vista found, downloaded and installed the drivers but it doesn't work. The xbox button just flashes when i turn it on, the charger is working the red light is on.Use an Xbox 360 controller with a laptop through the USB Charger?

nvm what i said all you need is that above and you can use your wirless controllor on your pc i ran into the same promblem the only way you can bypass that is if you use a wired controllor
